Research interest: soft coral taxonomy and biology

At present, Professor Hudi is collaborating with the IMBIBE lab to explore the understudied diversity of octocorals in Philippine reefs. His early works focused on benthic ecological studies in the coral reefs of the Red Sea and later worked in different areas in the Indo-Pacific.
